Based in East Suffolk, in and around the picturesque, seaside town of Aldeburgh, which was once home to the late, great British composer, Benjamin Britten, Jubilee Opera has been inspiring young performers since 1987. In that year, Jubilee Opera was founded by Jenni Wake-Walker and Laetitia Gifford after an overwhelming response from the community to a production of Noye’s Fludde in Aldeburgh Church. From that moment, it was decided to create a permanent opera company for local children to work with professionals on productions of the highest possible quality and standard. That tradition continues today, offering completely free membership to children of all ages, making the world of opera accessible to every young artist.
